Melanoma patients and their carers are being urged to participate in a ground-breaking survey to shape the future of melanoma treatment, research, support and funding in Australia.
Melanoma Patients Australia and Melanoma Institute Australia are partnering to produce the country’s first-ever landmark melanoma report:
State of the Nation – A Report into Melanoma.
It is vital to have input from melanoma patients and their carers from across Australia. This is a call to action, and we are asking people to take part in an online survey so we can fully understand their personal experiences.
‘The survey will provide invaluable insights into the impact of melanoma and the realities faced by patients and their families,’ said Melanoma Patients Australia CEO Victoria Beedle.
With Matthew Browne Melanoma Institute Australia CEO adding, ‘It will provide the opportunity to revolutionise melanoma policy, funding, care and support services going forward, which will in the long term benefit all Australians for generations to come’.

Please remember to be aware and check your skin even if you don’t put yourself out in the sun. I had a mole appear on my upper arm looked like a mozzie bite, it didn’t go away and continued to grow and go darker, looking more like a mole, had it removed and it ended up being Melanoma had wide excision melanoma surgery and lymph nodes removed just in time. My upper arms haven’t seen the sunshine in twenty five years and there wasn’t even a freckle in that spot. Total awareness is the key here . 🙏🏻
Don't let your tan be the main thing! Do yourself a favor and get tested.!
