On 17 September 2023, Max Armstrong took part in the City-Bay Fun Run, showing immense courage and determination by raising awareness for Melanoma Patients Australia.
Max has been living with metastatic melanoma for four years. Following a recent surgery, he remained committed to taking part in the run and using the opportunity to support others going through similar experiences.
“I was faced with a lot of uncertainty. I felt alone and angry,” Max shared. Fortunately, he discovered Melanoma Patients Australia and was able to access support, connection, and reassurance during an incredibly difficult time. “I wish I knew a service like Melanoma Patients Australia existed sooner.”
