Supporting Melanoma Research

Melanoma Patients Australia regularly collaborates with academic, clinical and sector partners to advance patient-centred melanoma research. Together, we work to ensure that the latest evidence is translated into compassionate, high-quality supportive care services and programs for people affected by melanoma.

Our Research Priorities

1. Evidence Based Service Delivery

  • Regular review and integration of published research and best practice
  • Quality improvement systems that support culturally safe, compassionate care

2. Informing Future Research

  • Internal evaluation and case review to identify gaps in support and evidence
  • Sharing insights to shape external research agendas

3. Bridging Academia and the Melanoma Community

  • Collect and share lived experiences from patients and carers
  • Advocate for consumer involvement in study design, review and implementation
  • Share research opportunities with our community
