Following an extensive search and comprehensive recruitment process, I am delighted to announce the appointment of Shannon Anderson as the new Chief Executive Officer of Melanoma Patients Australia. Shannon is Melbourne-based and will commence in the role on Monday 3 February 2025.
Shannon brings a wealth of relevant experience to Melanoma Patients Australia, and a deep personal commitment to our mission, and we are excited to welcome her to our team. Shannon has previously served as the CEO of Mental Health First Aid Australia for four years and worked in business development and fundraising roles for NFPs including St Vincent de Paul Society and Lifeline Australia, as well as running her own business advising NFPs how to strategically fundraise and grow.
On behalf of the Board, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Ross Kyrwood for his exceptional leadership and dedication while serving as our interim Chief Executive Officer. Ross has been instrumental in guiding us through this transition period, and we are indebted to him for stepping in and successfully steering us through this critical stage of Melanoma Patients Australia’s development.
As we look ahead in 2025, with Shannon’s leadership and our collective efforts, I am confident that we will continue to make significant strides in supporting melanoma patients and their families and extending our reach and capacity to support more people.
Please join me in welcoming Shannon Anderson to Melanoma Patients Australia.
